Bolton actress Helen Flanagan is worried that she will “embarrass herself in front of the UK” when she appears on I’m A Celebrity… South Africa tonight (April 23).
The former Westholme School pupil, Helen Flanagan, will be facing her fears once again after appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here in 2012.
A clip has emerged of the 32-year-old actress with former campmates Fatima Whitbread and Phil Tufnell.
In the clip the trio are faced with an eye-wateringly high challenge, which sees them leap from large spheres that are suspended high in the air above their new Savannah home.
A nervous Helen can be seen hunched over “feeling sick”.
Speaking to her one million Instagram followers Helen said she is worried about what the people of the UK will think of her once the trial airs.
She said: “The trial [I undertook to enter the jungle], I can’t even tell you how horrendous it was.
“I am making tea and I am just thinking ‘I am probably going to humiliate myself in front of the whole of the UK [tonight]'.
“It was so horrendous that i genuinely don’t think I could do it again. It was awful”
Helen also appeared on ITV talk show Loose Women on Friday (April 21) and said she was determined not to let her children down while filming the pre-recorded reality show.
She said: “I did tell [my daughter] that I was going to the jungle and then I [showed her] a few clips and she was like ‘mummy you were rubbish’.
“I had that pressure. I couldn’t let my girls down while I was in there.
“Naturally I am a wimp, I am scared of heights, spiders, snakes, you name it I don’t like having anything like that.”
Helen, best known for playing Rosie Webster in the ITV soap Coronation Street, is regarded by many as one of the most memorable contestants to have appeared on the show.
Helen was voted to take part in her fair share of Bushtucker Trials due to her often squeamish reaction, which entertained audiences.
Helen, who finished in seventh place the first time around, said: “I am not saying I am going to go in and be a jungle warrior and be absolutely amazing because I will not.
“Yes, I will be scared but I will have a go and I will be a lot better than last time.”
I'm A Celebrity... South Africa starts tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
