A lorry ended up wedged into a power substation earlier on Thursday morning.
The heavy goods vehicle was reported to have ended up stuck in the station after hitting a tree close to Harwood Golf Club, off Roading Brook Road.
Crews from Bolton Central Fire Station were called at around 8.30am on Thursday morning to deal with the incident.
Watch manager Andy Bolton said: “It was up near the golf club, it was just an HGV which had taken the branch off a tree, quite a big branch, and then it was wedged in a power station.”
He added: “It took a while because we had to wait a while for Electricity North West to isolate the power supply.”
The crews were on the scene for around four hours retrieving the lorry and making sure that all involved were safe.
By just after noon at 12.30pm they had made the scene safe and were able to return to their station.
Watch manager Bolton confirmed that fortunately no one was injured because of the incident.
In the event of an emergency, always call the fire and rescue service as soon as it is safe to do so on 999.
