The weekend is finally here, and you might want to get out and about with the family for a great day out.
The Bolton News decided to ask Chat GPT, an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by Open AI, to share the best places for a day out.
Asking the software “please could you tell me the 5 best days out in Bolton”, the AI Chatbox responded with these five suggestions for ‘great days out’:
Smithills Open Farm: This family-friendly attraction allows visitors to meet and interact with a variety of animals, including cows, pigs, sheep, and goats. There are also opportunities to feed the animals and enjoy tractor rides around the farm.
Bolton Museum and Art Gallery: This museum has a range of exhibits covering natural history, archaeology, and local history. There is also a great art collection including works by local artists and some well-known names.
Rivington Pike: This is a popular spot for outdoor enthusiasts, with opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing. At the top of Rivington Pike, there is a tower that offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
Bolton Steam Museum: If you're interested in history and engineering, the Bolton Steam Museum is a must-visit. The museum has a collection of stationary steam engines that were used in textile mills in the area. You can see them in action and learn about their history.
Last Drop Village: This is a unique village that has been designed to look like an old-fashioned English village. It has a range of shops, restaurants, and attractions, including a craft centre and a microbrewery. Visitors can also explore the surrounding countryside, which is dotted with historic landmarks and scenic vistas.
