An exhibition is set to showcase local street artists’ photography as well as some displays from across the country.
The "Home and Away" exhibition displays wonderful street scenes or an evocative memory of a particular place, captured by artist Tracy Calderbank.
These photographs are also "memories of holidays" in contrast to being at home.
The exhibition will display a selection of images from a variety of holidays around England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, Isle of Wight, and Jersey, plus the trip of a lifetime to Europe, around Austria, views from Eagles Nest, the retreat of Hitler, and its viewpoints of surrounding landscape.
The images together with the combination of her hometown of Bolton, and some of the surrounding areas of Horwich, manage to capture both nostalgia and a social history of each place.
The exhibition opens with a preview tonight, Friday, April 21, from 7pm to 9pm and will continue over the weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 4pm.
It will take place at BL6 Studios, Hampson Street, Horwich.
