Food hygiene inspectors have rated seven eateries in Bolton in the latest round of inspections.

Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety, inspectors have rated five eateries a three out of five rating, one eatery a two out of five rating and one eatery a zero rating.

Braza at 96 Great Moor Street, Bolton, was rated a three on March 12.

The inspection report states the eatery is generally satisfactory in all areas.

Also rated a three out of five is Freemasons at 72 Market Street, Farnworth, Bolton, which was given the rating after inspection on March 11.

The inspection report on the Food Standards Agency states both the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are generally satisfactory whilst the management of food safety is good.

Last Drop Hotel, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Hospital Road, Bromley Cross, Bolton was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on March 13.

The inspection report states all areas are generally satisfactory.

Charcoal Pit, a takeaway at 136 St Helens Road, Bolton was also given a score of three on March 13.

The inspection report states all areas are generally satisfactory.

The final eatery to be awarded a three out of five rating is the Market Street Tavern at 131 Market Street, Stoneclough Radcliffe, Bolton which was rated on March 11.

The eatery was rated generally satisfactory for both the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and good for the management of food safety.

Food hygiene inspectors have also rated an eatery a two out of five rating.

Post Office at 10-12 Higher Market Street, Farnworth, Bolton, was given the rating after inspection on March 11.

The inspection report states the hygienic food handling is very good, the management of food safety is good, and improvement is necessary for cleanliness and condition of facilities and building.

Finally, one eatery has been handed a zero in a recent round of inspections.

24 Karat Chippy & Grill Ltd at 1 Wigan Road, Bolton, was handed the rating after inspection on March 12.

The inspection report states urgent improvement is necessary with all areas rated as major improvement necessary.
