Police pulled over an Audi in Breightmet and reunited a stolen motorbike with its rightful owner

Officers stopped the Audi in New Lane on Sunday afternoon.

Police say that the driver was found to only have a provisional license without insurance.

The vehicle was seized and the driver has been reported for a summons.

On social media, a spokesperson for GMP Bolton North said: “PC Daly and PC Silcock stopped this Audi on New Lane in Breightmet this afternoon.

“The driver had a provisional licence and the vehicle was uninsured.

“Vehicle seized and driver reported for summons.”

A stolen motorbike was also seized in Bromley Cross yesterday afternoon.

It has now been returned to its owner, say police.

A spokesperson for GMP Bolton North said: “PC Green and PCSO Gaskell discovered this stolen motorbike this afternoon in the Bromley Cross area.

“It has now been returned to the owner.”

It is one of a number of vehicles that have been seized by police in recent months.

This is the second motorbike which has been reunited with its owner in just a week.
