A Bolton family have moved a few miles up the road into a new development - after visiting a showhome.
Gary and Joanne Small, who previously lived in Harwood, viewed The Grange development in Bromley Cross.
And a day later decided to reserve a house in the same design after seeing the four-bedroom show home.
Within one week, they had sold their old three-bedroom house in Harwood and the pair along with their 13-year-old granddaughter Lily, and the family’s three dogs moved into their new home at The Grange in November last year.

Joanne, 53, said: “We were not looking at buying a new build, and The Grange is the only housing development we visited, but as soon as we saw the Buckley show home, we fell in love.”
The couple, who own a waste collection business, had started the search for a new home back in May 2021.
They had decided it would be nicer to have more space, and in particular allow Lily, who has special needs, to have a bigger bedroom with an ensuite.
Gary, 60, said: “We began by looking at homes other than new builds, however we realised that we didn’t want to spend the time refurbishing a home and would much rather buy somewhere which was ready to move into.”
They visited The Grange following a recommendation by some friends and were won over by the space and quality of the Buckley show home.
The property has a large L-shaped kitchen/dining/living room with French doors to the garden, plus a study and a utility room, with two ensuite bedrooms upstairs, two further double bedrooms and a modern family bathroom.

Joanne said: “When we viewed the Buckley, we were amazed by the spacious kitchen and dining room.
“The house looked so attractive from the outside, and even more so on the inside.
Lily is also in love with the home, especially now she has her own bathroom which makes her feel very grown up.”
The couple were particularly impressed by the individual customer service they received from Jones Homes.
Joanne added: “One thing I was desperate to keep from our previous home was my Aga cooker.
“We spoke to our sales advisor Chris Tomes about this, and he worked with the site team to re-design our kitchen to make sure my cooker fitted.”

Gary added: “Chris was great. He kept us well informed during our moving process and has continued to be on hand to help us with any queries we have.
“Jamie, the assistant site manager, and Andy, the site manager, were also really good.
"Nothing ever felt too trivial for them – they cared about every question we had and made us feel important throughout our buying journey.
“We would most certainly recommend Jones Homes as a housebuilder.”
Having three dogs, the family are delighted to have a large garden, as well as easy access to open countryside for dog walks.
Joanne said: “There are plenty of beautiful nature walks on the doorstep, such as the West Pennine Moors which lead to Turton Tower, just 1.5 miles from our home.
“Gary and I are avid golfers and are members of Turton Golf Club.
“We enjoy eating at the golf club, too.
"They have a restaurant called Courses which we have found ourselves becoming regulars at.
“We also enjoy swimming at The Last Drop Village hotel and spa and Gary enjoys going to the bar in the hotel, too.
“It is convenient having the hotel just a five-minute walk from our home.”
The Grange is at the Last Drop Village, with prices starting from £389,950.
