Bolton Lads and Girls Club has received a £1,000 donation from Amazon fulfiment centre.
Bolton Lads and Girls Club (BLGC) provides an array of opportunities to improve the lives of over 3,000 active members through open access play, youth and sport provision and a range of bespoke targeted services.
The charity operates across four sites across Bolton, which hope to inspire young people through sport, arts, music, dance, drama, and other activities.
The charity aims to offer support to some of Bolton’s most vulnerable young people.

Alongside its youth clubs, Bolton Lads and Girls Club has a range of mental health services including bereavement support, Safe Zones and THRIVE practitioners.
This donation will be used towards services that enable disadvantaged children and young people, to live happier, healthier, and positive lives by providing somewhere to go that’s safe and modern, something to do that is inspiring and engaging and someone to talk to when they need it.
John Strydom, site leader at Amazon in Bolton, said: “Bolton Lads and Girls Club is a brilliant organisation, offering a safe space to meet for young people in our community.
“The charity’s work in youth clubs and schools has a positive impact on Bolton’s young people and we’re pleased to lend a helping hand with this donation.
“We hope that this donation helps the charity continue providing a safe and fun environment for young people across Bolton.”

“This organisation is a fantastic place for young people to learn, have fun and make friends.”

“It is greatly appreciated and will help us continue to provide a great support for our children and young people.”

The donation to Bolton Lads and Girls Club was made as a part of Amazon’s programme to support the communities around its operating locations across the UK.
Amazon is providing disadvantaged students with online STEM courses, as well as teaming up with charity partner Magic Breakfast and delivering more than six million healthy breakfasts to families in England.
