Greenhalgh's is to shut its bakery in Daubhill as it opens a new branch in the new food and drink court being developed in Deane.
The bakery on St Helens Road will close today ahead of its relocation to the complex on land which was part of the former Stag's Head Pub.
Major food supermarket, Heron Foods has taken up one of the units and Greenhalgh's will be moving into another unit.
Greenhalgh’s retail sales manager Georgie Smart said: “It’s simply a relocation to an area with more shops around. The staff are relocating too.
“There will be no redundancies.”
The pub closed in 2011.
Established in 1957 by Mr Allan Smart, the company operates out of two manufacturing sites in Lostock and Bolton and has garnered praise for its quality products over its 66 years of trading.
It employs approximately 950 staff and, according to its website, is one of the largest employers in the Bolton area with a total of 59 shops and a wholesale sector.
The Lancashire staple also recently worked with Mini Minds Matter UK, a children’s mental health charity, for whom they produced a children’s book entitled ‘Happyasaurus learns to bake’.
The book is for sale on their website and all proceeds go to charity.
