An author will be in Bolton to discuss her debut novel, a heart-wrenching coming-of-age story and drama.
Go as a River by Shelley Read is said to combine unforgettable characters and a breath-taking natural settings with a story of survival and love, truth and fate.
The story is set in 1948, when Victoria Nash delivers late-season peaches from her family's farm set amid the wild beauty of Colorado.
As she heads into her village, a dishevelled stranger stops to ask her the way.
How she chooses to answer will unknowingly alter the course of both their young lives.
She will be at Bolton Central Library and Museum, Le Mans Crescent, Bolton on Thursday May 4 from 1pm.
