A popular furniture store has announced it is closing down.
Global Interiors is a huge furniture store on Blackburn Road.
The store has a café, with the likes of Poppy’s Tea Rooms using the space in the past, allowing shoppers to sit and eat as well as browse.
People can buy home furniture such as sofas and dining tables.
Owner Donna Burcell confirmed on Facebook, on the Global Interiors page, that the business is shutting its doors.
A statement revealed: “Yes we are closing. No we’re not kidding.
“You can still place orders at heavily discounted prices!
“All orders placed before we close will either be fulfilled from our North West warehouse or from our Beverley warehouse. Either way you’ll only pay a LOCAL delivery charge.
“For example, this fabulous corner sofa including footstool is normally £1699 BUT you can order a brand new one in a choice of colours for only £1199.
“Delivery will be in around six to eight weeks.
"We will be closing the doors at 4pm Sunday 16th April so you’ve got between now and then to place an order for ANY of the sold stock we still have on display at fantastic prices.
“And whilst our other store at Alexander Ellis is amazeballs, it’s in Yorkshire and they’re as tight as a duck's backside so you won’t get it at the same price if you wait to visit us there.”
The store in Hull, Alexander Ellis, is still running but Bolton shoppers will not be able to find the latest wares from the family-owned furniture store in Bolton after April 16.
In a separate post, the team revealed the closing date: “Just to let you know our last day will be Sunday the 16th. After that, once we’ve delivered all our sold items, we’ll open for one or two days towards the end of the month to sell what’s left and also any fixtures and fittings we’re not taking over to Alexander Ellis.
“This really is the last chance you have to buy, so although the weather is GLORIOUS, take half an hour out to come and see us.”
