Slimming groups in Bolton are encouraging people to bag up unwanted clothes to bring to their groups for Cancer Research UK.
As part of Slimming World’s ongoing partnership with Cancer Research UK, groups including Bolton’s Westhoughton Slimming World are inviting members to bag up any clothes that they’ve slimmed out of, and bring them along to their group.
The clothes will be donated to the Cancer Research UK shop in Bolton to help raise much-needed funds.
A spokesman said: “If you’re not a Slimming World member, now is an exciting time to join and take the opportunity to declutter and donate to support this charity’s lifesaving work.
“Since becoming an official Cancer Research UK partner in 2013, our fantastic community of Slimming World members, consultants and head office staff has raised more than £18 million.
“During our last Clothes Throw event in 2022, more than £1 million was raised – and we’re so excited to see what we can take our total to this year!"
The Big Slimming World Clothes Throw event will be running in Slimming World groups from April 16 to 29 and groups will be buzzing with members sharing their inspiring stories and celebrating their weight loss success.
Members can pick up a purple Clothes Throw bag from the Bolton Slimming World groups.
