People out in Bolton enjoying the sunshine tomorrow may experience warmer temperatures than those in Turkey.

The sun is expected to shine over the town and highs of 15 degrees C may be reached.

The Met Office predicts that the warmth will peak between 3pm and 6pm.

By contrast temperatures in Turkey may only be 14 degrees C.

The chances of rain during the course of Easter Sunday never get any higher than 10 per cent.

The Bolton News:

However people in Bolton may still feel somewhat envious of other parts of the country where temperatures are set to reach 18 degrees C.

Craig Snell, a Met Office Forecaster, said: "On Easter Sunday for a good chunk of the UK it’s going to be fairly reasonable, the only place we’ll probably see a change is Northern Ireland where it’ll turn increasingly breezy, cloudy and eventually damp.

“But for the most part it will be fairly sunny and temperatures may peak at around 18 degrees C – so, pleasantly warm out there.”

Those out enjoying the warm weather should make the most of it as a downturn is expected going into next week.

In Bolton for the rest of the week temperatures may only rise as high as 12 degrees C on Monday when light rain is expected.

On Tuesday they may drop to 11 degrees C when clouds and light showers are expected in the morning.

Mr Snell added: “It’s a bank holiday weekend, so the weather has timed itself nicely really because it looks like it’s going to turn wet and windy as we go into next week.

“People can enjoy the early spring sunshine, but even though it’s not really warm the sun is still strong – it’s as strong as it is towards the back end of summer now.

“Just be careful if you’re out for a long time, you can easily get sunburned out there. This time of year catches a lot of people out.

“But it’s not going to last too long – Monday is certainly going to be that day of change, as low pressure starts to dominate the scene. With blustery showers it’s the day to do anything you want indoors.”
