An inquest has been opened into the death of a 37-year-old factory worker from Bolton after he was found “unresponsive” and not “breathing” by his landlord..
Tamas Rudolf Nemeth of Blackburn Road was born in Hungary and died on January 19, 2023.
His death was confirmed by police and ambulance soon after.
A full investigation was carried out and Mr Nemeth was identified using his passport.
Following a post-mortem conducted by Dr Patrick Waugh, a pathologist at Royal Bolton Hospital, he gave the cause of death as asphyxiation and aspiration of gastric contents.
Senior coroner Professor Dr Alan Walsh said: “When the investigation opened the condition was that samples of blood and urine would be retained until the conclusion.
“I will now request statements from the community alcohol team and the mental health services to see if they have been involved.
“I request all statements on or before June 22.”
The inquest is expected to be resumed on July 26 at Bolton Coroners Court.
