Spring is finally set to arrive for the Easter holiday weekend
The Met Office is predicting warmer temperatures with plenty of sun - and temperatures in to double figures.
From tomorrow (Friday, April 7) to Monday, April 10, there will be highs of 13 degrees with the sun out all day, making it the perfect day to dust off the barbecue.
While Saturday will remain the same, clouds will hide the sun for majority of the day, but on Sunday, temperatures will rise slightly to 15 degrees, making it the warmest day of the year so far.
Monday’s temperatures will drop to 13 degrees.
Deputy Chief Meteorologist Helen Caughey said: “It will be drier by the start of the Easter break, with bright, clear spells and light winds in most places.
“Although there will be some chilly nights it will be pleasant by day with sunny spells and some light winds, though on paper temperatures will be around average for the time of year.
“While there is still some uncertainty in the detailed forecast for Easter Sunday and Monday the general trend is for fine weather in the south and east while it looks like it could turn more unsettled in the north and west. Fairly typical spring weather for us.”
While March was full of snow and ice warnings, April is predicted to be showers with sunny spells.
But after the bank holiday, the rain returns with a vengeance albeit with warmer temperatures, but people making plans are advised to check the weather to ensure it does not ruin a trip to one of Bolton's lovely parks.
