Three Bolton businesses and one individual from the town have been named on a Government website as “deliberate tax defaulters.”

HM Revenue and Customs has released a list of those who have been given financial penalties for failing to comply with tax obligations or filing deliberate errors

Businesses which have failed to pay are issued with a penalty which is also listed on the Government website.

In total four businesses from Bolton are said to have deliberately defaulted on £566,533.

Among those were C M Simplified Solutions Ltd.

The business was involved in the supply of packaging materials for the catering industry.

It was located on Foxhunter Close, Lostock.

The business deliberately defaulted on £66,387 between May and October of 2020.

It was hit with a fine of £46,470.

Limbani Limited, which was involved in the sale of electronic goods, was also fined.

The company, which was located on Redcar Road, Bolton, deliberated defaulted on £279,818 between June and August 2020.

It was hit with a penalty of £176,285.34.

Ryan McCheyne works in the construction industry.

The man from Booth Road, Little Lever, deliberately defaulted on £71,636 for two years beginning in April 2018.

He was hit with a penalty of £50,145.62.

Amstone Building Limited is involved in constructing domestic properties, The company, based at Tottington Road, Bolton, deliberately defaulted on £148,692, from June 2017 until September of 2020.

It was hit with a penalty of £104,084.

The Government publishes information on people who have been given penalties for either deliberate errors in their tax returns or have deliberately fail to comply with tax obligations.

They were listed when the penalties involve tax of more than £25,000.

Information is not published if a person reduces the penalties by fully disclosing details of the defaults which they have been involved in.

Details are published when a person or business has made at least one deliberate default on more than £25,000, according to HMRC.

The list is updated every three months and the information wiped after a year.
