Police have launched an appeal after a man died following a crash in Wigan.
At approximately 7.35pm on Monday, March 27, officers were called to reports of a collision on Gidlow Lane.
A spokesman for GMP said: “A car is reported to have been travelling along Gidlow Lane when it mounted the pavement between Diamond Street and Emerald Street .
“The car continued travelling along the pavement before coming off at the junction of Emerald Street where it collided with another car.
“It then continued moving and further collided with a garden wall of a residential property before coming to stop.
“The driver was suspected to have suffered a serious medical episode and was taken to hospital for treatment.
“He has since tragically passed away.”
Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident and who may have footage, including CCTV, doorbell or dashcam, to please get in touch.
