The man who brought Fireaway Pizza to Bolton town centre is moving on to open a new restauarant with an Italian flavour.
Matthew Oliver, along with business partner Dominik Rog are the current franchise operators of the Bolton, Bury and Rochdale Fireaway Franchises.
And after three years at FireAway, with almost a year at the Bolton site, Matthew is now moving on to pastures new with plans to open his own Italian restaurant in Ramsbottom.
And after building up the town centre business, the Bolton franchise is up for sale.
Matthew said: “I am leaving FireAway altogether.
“I’ve sold my master merchandise rights and will be opening my on restaurant instead.
“I want to focus on that rather than being a part of a franchise.
“I just thought it was time to move on.”
Established in 2016, Fireaway is rapidly becoming a major, international pizza brand, cooking pizza under three minutes while using authentic recipes.
Matthew said: “It’s always been my ambition to have a restaurant, so I thought now was the right time.
“I would not have felt comfortable going into this but working at FireAway has helped me learn a lot.”
The pizza parlour in Bolton first opened in June 2022 and hails itself as a place where customers can see their pizza being made in front of them.
Matthew said: “I am excited about the positive change.
“I have been working on this in the background for many months now and I am ready for the next chapter in my life and career.
“I have enjoyed my time with FireAway and the Bolton branch has the most potential because of its location.
“I am very grateful to FireAway for all my time there.”
Charles Louis Commercial Agents have been instructed to sell the Bolton Franchise.
Director Anthony Meadowcroft said: “Matt and Dom have done an excellent job launching these locations and we are delighted to be have been selected to handle the sale of Fireaway Bolton.
Opening in June 2022, the team have quickly built stable trade and the fit out is still fresh.
“Being located on Newport Street in the middle of Bolton town centre, gives this a prominent opportunity for a new buyer to push local business development, with a basement seating area in addition to the ground floor, this could be ideal to utilise an events space.”
