An appeal has gone out to help find the next of kin of a man who has died in Bolton.
Robert Alton was 76 years old when he died on Hemsworth Road earlier this month.
Police officers are now appealing for members of the public to help them trace Mr Alton’s relatives or who have any other information that may be useful to them.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace the family of a man from Bolton.
“Robert Alton, 76, sadly died on Hemsworth Road in Bolton on Thursday March 9 2023.
“Any information, please contact the Police Coroner’s Office on 0161 856 4687.”
Police regularly put out public appeals to help find the next of kin of people who have died when their initial enquiries have not done so.
Officers will hope that anyone who comes forward will be able to provide the necessary further details to the Police Coroner’s Office.
Once they have managed to trace Mr Alton’s next of kin, police and the coroner’s officer will then be able to start the process of establishing the full facts around Mr Alton’s death.
Police have not indicated that they are treating Mr Alton’s death as suspicious.
