The M60 saw heavy traffic this evening between two junctions as police led an incident.
Junction 9 and 10 anticlockwise were experiencing delays as this part of the M60 closed for a short period of time.
Traffic continues of up to 45 minutes between the junctions and drivers are warned to take caution on approach and plan ahead if going through.
A spokesman for The National Highways said: “Update: The #M60 is now OPEN anticlockwise between J10 and J9 near #Manchester following an earlier a police-led incident.
“There are residual delays of 45 minutes above usual journey times.”
Queues start from Junction 15 and below.
There has been heavy build-up around the diversion due to the closure via the Trafford Centre roads or Barton Road and Lostock Road.
Earlier, The National Highways tweeted: “Update: The #M60 is CLOSED anticlockwise between J10 and J9 near #Manchester due to a police-led incident.
“There are four miles of congestion on the approach to the incident.”
Live cameras show the Junction 9 and 10 to be still experiencing delays but traffic is now moving.
Traffic data system Inrix said: "Severe delays and queueing traffic due to police incident on M60 anticlockwise from J10 B5214 Trafford Boulevard (Trafford Centre) to J9 A5081 Park Way (Trafford Park). Congestion to J15 (Swinton Interchange)."
