The mystery surrounding a loud noise in Westhoughton has finally be solved.
People in Westhoughton say they have had sleepless nights after a loud noise emitted from the Sainsbury’s in Cricketers Way, Westhoughton.
But the noise has now stopped after several complaints to the supermarket regarding the noise.
One resident tpld The Bolton News: "Residenta in Westhoughton have had disturbed sleep for the last four to five days due to a continuous noise coming from the roof of Sainsbury’s.
"Heard by residents on Sunnygarth and Poplar Grove day and night.
"Numerous complaints have been made to the store, to be told they have reported it and are waiting for engineers, this was on Wednesday."

A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: “There was an issue with the air conditioning unit at our Westhoughton store earlier in the week. This has now been fixed. We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
