A nail artist has designed Bolton Wanderers nails ahead of the club's Papa Johns Trophy final with Plymouth Argyle next month.
The simple design was made by Karen Boyle from Harwood’s Gel A Licious, who was requested to make the themed nails by a Wanderers fan.
With the logo and matching blue and white colours, the nails are perfect for Bolton fans who want to show off their team colours and support through ways other than face paints on the big day on Sunday, April 2.
Karen, 56, said: “The one I made so far is just for practice but my client will have them on her nails when it comes to it.
“I’ve had a few comments on them so far so people can order them if they like.
“They’re stuck on nails but not like the old cheap ones, they last two to three weeks and are reusable.
“A lot of people like health care professionals cannot wear nails usually but loads of us women like our nails so this is an alternative.”
People can request the custom-made nails in any BWFC design as Karen can change and re-design nails for each person.
She said: “I’ve been a fan of Bolton myself and I used to have a season ticket.
“You’ll see people with face painting, so this is another way to show support for the team and be a bit different."
People commenting on Karen’s post of the nails have loved the design and are showing their friends.
Karen added: “I didn’t expect the comments but I was just advertising the nails with the game coming up.
“The client is going to the game with her husband and children, so I wanted to practice before she got them.”
Karen could not find any other BWFC designs on google and was instead inspired to come up with her own design based on the logo.
She said: “Her nails are small so it has to fit but I can custom-make them for different sizes as well.
“They can be any colour and people can have what they want.”
Karen started her business in lockdown, creating nails for customers to put on themselves, but can also paint nails in person.
But this is Karen’s first time designing BWFC nails.
