The popular Heaton Fold artisan market is set to make its return next month.
Visitors have been flocking to the locally produced stalls since 2015 at Heaton Fold Garden Centre.
Previous markets have had as many as 20 stalls to choose from, which have included hand knitted and crocheted wire creations, pre-loved jewellery, soy candles, melts, children’s wear, sock animals, fairy houses, watercolours, soaps, and much more.
Next month’s markets are expected to be equally as impressive, including a variety of locally produced food, drink, homeware and gifts from some exciting new stall holders as well as the return of some old favourites.
Bolton Council’s Executive Cabinet Member for Environmental Services, Cllr Nadim Muslim said: “There’s always a fantastic array of stalls on offer at Bolton Artisan Market, so if you’re looking for a unique gift or simply enjoy trying out tasty, locally produced goods, make sure you head down.”
In the very first market, chefs entertained customers with demonstrations throughout the day, giving examples of how the market’s food can be cooked.
The monthly Sunday markets take place at Heaton Fold Garden Centre on Overdale Drive on the fourth Sunday of every month.
The first market of 2023 will be held on Sunday April 23 from 10am to 4pm.
Stalls for April’s market include:
- Slippery Cauldron (@slipperycauldronsoapsco) selling hand-made sustainable soaps and bathroom accessories.
- Jitterbugs (@jitterbugsbysally) selling handmade metal figurines and trinkets.
- Urban Preserve (@preserverurban) selling local, sustainable chutneys and jarred preserves.
- Art By Joules (@Artbyjoules) selling bespoke pen and ink drawings and postcards.
Future markets will be held on May 28, June 25, July 23, September 24, October 22 before the Christmas markets return in November.
This year’s markets are organised by Sarah Aspden in conjunction with the council.
There will also be free parking available on site.
