A 47-year-old man has been arrested after reportedly ‘tricking’ his way into an elderly man’s home.
Police attended Eskdale Avenue, Breightmet following a burglary yesterday evening (Friday March 10), where items were stolen.
At the time, Breightmet Neighbourhood Officers were on mobile patrol in the area, where they were able to locate the man and make the arrest.
A description of the offender has since been given to the police.

A spokesperson for GMP Bolton North said: “A 47-year-old male has been arrested following a burglary at an elderly male's address whereby the offender tricked his way into his home and stole items in the Eskdale Avenue, area of Breightmet.
“A description of the offender was given and the Breightmet Neighbourhood Officers who were in the area on mobile patrol located the male and made the arrest.
“A great result and a reminder to all residents - if in doubt, keep them out.”
