An appeal has gone out to find a man who is wanted in connection with a burglary and assault.
The burglary is believed to have taken place in Leigh on October 12 last year, while the assault reportedly occurred in Atherton last week on Wednesday March 1.
Officers now wish to speak to Dean Smith, 33 from Atherton who also has links to the Leigh area, in connection with the incidents.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace a wanted man from Atherton.
“Dean Smith (03/01/1990) is wanted in connection with a burglary that took place in Leigh on 13/10/22 and a common assault that occurred in Atherton on 01/03/23.

Police regularly send out wanted appeals to try and find people they wish to speak to in connection with incidents like these.
Members of the public have been warned that if they suspect they have seen Smith then he is not to be approached.
Instead, they should contact police as soon as it is safe to do so.
