Multiple people from Bolton have recently been banned from the roads for getting behind the wheel for under the influence of drugs.
Under UK law people found with drugs in their system above a specific level for each substance face an automatic ban of a year.
They can also be jailed for a period of six months.
The following people from Bolton have been banned from the roads for this so far in 2023.
Waheed Edrahim drove an Audi A3 on Jessie Street in the town in March last year while under the influence of cocaine.
The 24-year-old admitted the offence when he appeared at Bolton Magistrates Court in January.
Edrahim, of Jessie Street, Bolton, was banned from the roads for three years.
Other than this he was discharged absolutely for the offence.
Shaun Yarwood drove a Fiat Fiorino at the Blackpool Promenade while under the influence of cannabis in September last year.
The 38-year-old admitted the offence when he appeared at Blackpool Magistrates Court in January.
Yarwood, of Crossdale Road, Bolton, was banned from the roads for a year.
He was also fined £120 and ordered to pay further costs of £133.
Mohammed Maskeen drove a Vauxhall Grandland on Bury Old Road, Salford, while under the influence of cannabis in March last year.
The 28-year-old admitted the offence when he appeared at Tameside Magistrates Court in January.
Maskeen, of Caledonia Street, Bolton, was banned from the roads for a year.
He was also fined £162 and ordered to pay further costs of £184.
Reece Macdonald drove a Vauxhall Zafira on Preston New Road, Blackpool, in September last year while under the influence of cannabis.
The 36-year-old admitted the offence when he appeared at Blackpool Magistrates Court in February.
Macdonald, of Finch Avenue, Farnworth, was banned from the roads for a year.
He was also fined £120 and ordered to pay further costs of £133.
