A Bolton brewary is toasting the success of two pubs which come first and second in the CAMRA Real Ale Pub of the Year for Bolton
It was won by The Brewery Bar in Horwich.
The bar is run by Horwich brewery Blackedge Brewing Company, which also owns the runner up, The Brewery Tap in Westhoughton.
The Ale House in Horwich, run by Astley Bridge-based Bank Top Brewery, came third in the standings.

Northern Monkey and One For The Road in the town centre and the Kings Arms Hotel in Farnworth made up the final six.
Blackedge Brewing Company owner, Wayne Roper, said: “As the founder of the brewery, it’s great recognition for the staff who make it happen. For example, Stew is the bar manager here (The Brewery Bar), delivering the standard that won us the award.
“It’s a credit to the staff involved, including those who produce the it on site.
“It’s really pleasing to have both bars finish in first place and runner up, as there were six bars being voted on.

“To have both bars as the top two is more credit to the people that run them.”
He continued: “We started in this town, and to win it in Horwich where we started 13 years ago is fantastic.
“It’s a testament to a small town like Horwich to have two of the top bars.”
Bolton CAMRA Chairman, Graham Walsh, said: “They have locally produced beers, high quality beers, they’re always great.

“We have judges that go around all the pubs and test the beers. They also look at things like quality of service and atmosphere, things like that.
“It was a close competition, but with this one, and with both Blackedge pubs, it’s the quality of the beer which is the primary thing.”
