Several Bolton roads will be closed towards the end of March for manhole repairs.

Bligh Road will be closed on March 20 for works.

The road closure will be in place between 9.30am and 3pm, and will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Bligh Road from Peel Street to Collingwood Way to allow the manhole works to take place.

Collingwood Way will also be closed on March 20 for manhole repairs.

Between the hours of 9.30am and 3pm, all traffic will be prohibited from proceeding on Collingwood Way from Peel Street to Bligh Road to allow the works to go ahead.

An alternate route for traffic will be via Grundy Street and Church Street.

To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point to ensure that they can be emptied on the usual collection days.

Council officials say they want to apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
