A driver and a passenger were arrested this morning after police pulled over a car.
Officers said they found Class A drugs in the car with the driver testing positive for cannabis.
The driver and passenger have both been taken into custody to be interviewd.
A spokesman for GMP said: “This BMW was seen acting suspiciously in the Bolton area. Stopped by patrols and a quantity of Class A drugs found inside.
“Driver also tested positive for cannabis. Both driver and passenger arrested (on suspicion) for possession with intent to supply and awaiting interview.”
It comes as police step up on patrols in Bolton to prevent crime.
Just a week ago, officers who were out on patrol stopped a car which was speeding twice on the same day and on the same road.
In a tweet, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Patrols out and about enforcing the speed limits around GMP.
"You know your having a bad day when you get caught speeding twice in the same day on the same road.
"It's 30 MPH for a reason."
