Food hygiene inspectors have rated 18 eateries in Bolton in the latest round of inspections.
Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety, inspectors have rated 10 eateries a rating of five out of five, three eateries a four out of five rating, two eateries a three out of five rating, one eatery a two out of five rating and two eateries one out of five ratings.
The eatery’s awarded a five are:
Tesco Family Dining Ltd at Tesco Superstore, Mansell Way, Horwich, Bolton was rated a five after inspection on February 21.
In the eatery’s inspection report it states both the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are ‘good’ whilst the management of food safety is ‘very good’.
Olympus at 35-39 Great Moor Street, Bolton; rated on February 20.
The inspection report states both the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are ‘very good’ and the management of food safety is ‘good’.
Bake & Roast @ Smithills Hall at Smithills Hall, Smithills Dean Road, Bolton; rated on February 11.
The inspection report is rated ‘good’ for both the management of food safety and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and ‘very good’ for the hygienic food handling.
Chiquito Mexican Restaurant and Bar at 19-21 The Linkway, Horwich, Bolton was also awarded a five after it was rated on February 5.
Both the management of food safety and hygienic food handling are ‘very good’ and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building is ‘good’.
Pizza Hut at 39 The Linkway, Horwich, Bolton, was rated on February 5.
Both the management of food safety and hygienic food handling are ‘very good’, and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building is ‘good’.
Bolton Garden Centre at Wigan Road, Bolton, was rated a five on February 4 and TGI Fridays at Unit 6a, 19-21 The Linkway, Horwich, Bolton was also rated a five on February 3, both eateries were rated ‘very good’ in all areas.
VUE Cinemas at 16 The Linkway, Horwich, Bolton; rated on February 3.
The inspection report states the hygienic food handling is ‘good’ whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety are both ‘very good’.
Harvester at 1 Arena Approach, Horwich, Bolton; rated on February 4.
Both the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety are ‘good’ whilst the hygienic food handling is ‘very good’.
Finally, Tempest United AFC at Tempest Road, Lostock, Bolton was rated a five on February 4.
The eatery was rated ‘very good’ in all areas.
Three eateries were also handed four out of five ratings recently.
Peony at 142 Tonge Moor Road, Bolton was rated on January 21 and Del Capo at 186 Chorley Old Road, Bolton, was rated on January 20.
Peony was rated ‘good’ for both the hygienic food handling and the management of food safety whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building is ‘generally satisfactory’.
Del Capo was rated ‘good’ for the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety whilst it was rated ‘generally satisfactory’ for the hygienic food handling.
Food N Tipple at 107 Eskrick Street, Bolton, was also rated a four on January 22.
Rated 'good' for both the hygienic food handling and management of food safety and 'generally satisfactory' for the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building.
Two eateries have also been awarded three out of five ratings these include A'la Pizza and Roosters at 352 Deane Road, Bolton which was rated on January 22 and Shimas Rice n Oodles at Unit Of1 Ashburner Street Market, Ashburner Street, which was rated on January 21.
A'la Pizza and Roosters was rated ‘generally satisfactory’ in all areas whilst Shimas Rice n Oodles was rated ‘generally satisfactory’ for both cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety and ‘good’ for hygienic food handling.
Hulton Fish Bar, at 412 Hulton Lane, Bolton was handed a two-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 23.
The inspection report states the management of food safety is ‘generally satisfactory’ whilst ‘improvement is necessary’ for the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building.
Finally, two Bolton eateries have been handed one out of five ratings.
Mexican Villa Ltd, at 610 Blackburn Road, Bolton was given a score of one on January 23.
The inspection report states the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building is ‘good’, ‘improvement is necessary’ for hygienic food handling and ‘major improvement is necessary’ for the management of food safety.
Baci at 1 Arthur Lane, Bolton was also rated a one on January 22.
