Three cars were substantially damaged after a vehicle hit a boundary wall causing it to collapse before leaving the scene.
The vehicles were parked in a medical centre car park, all believed to be patients at Pikes Lane Medical Centre on Monday morning when the crash happened.
The boundary wall divides the car park and the Spar convenience store next door on Deane Road.
It is understand that a vehicle crashed into the wall with the tumbling bricks hitting the cars parked.
One of the car owners, who wished to remain nameless, said: “We had an appointment at the centre, so we parked in the car park close to a wall alongside two other cars.
“It was a big wall.
“It was a real mess.
“The other two cars are very extensively damaged. They’re written off. Our car is also damaged but not as bad.
“The fire brigade turned up. The medical centre staff came running out."
The car owner says that they are frustrated that now they have to spend time contacting their insurance company and garages in order to get a pay-out for, and to fix, the damage.
They added: "I'm not sure of cost yet a but I would imagine it’s going to be over £1,500.
"However, the other two cars seemed a lot worse, plus there is the cost of rebuilding the wall which will be substantial."
The incident was reported to Greater Manchester Police, who told The Bolton News that they are aware of the incident which happened at around 9.20am and that no injuries were reported.
A spokesperson added: “It was recorded as a fail-to-stop.”
And a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said:
“At 9.30am a fire engine from Bolton Central attended the scene where a van appears to have crashed into a wall, which has then collapsed onto three other parked vehicles.
“Crews put a cordon in place and handed the incident over to Greater Manchester Police.”
