Police have provided an update a week after a man approached a woman and snatched her child in the street.
Officers were called to Mayor Street after a report of the attempted abduction at around 6.30pm on Tuesday last week.
At the time, police said a man approached a woman and snatched her child, who received serious injuries.

They said a suspect was arrested on suspicion of kidnap, and he was taken into custody to be interviewed.
On Tuesday this week, a week on, police provided an update in which a spokesperson said the suspect was detained under the Mental Health Act.
The act allows for someone to be detained for assessment and treatment without the need to charge or to release them.
