A pedestrian taken to hospital after an incident in Astley Bridge suffered minor injuries, police said.
The emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to the A58 Moss Bank Way at 3.12pm on Monday.
According to police, a pedestrian was hit by a car in the area of the junction with Broad O' Th' Lane.
Although the air ambulance was in attendance, the pedestrian was taken to hospital with a head injury by road.

They suffered minor injuries, police said in a statement today (February 28).
A spokesperson said: "Officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Moss Bank Way in Bolton.
“The emergency services attended the scene and the pedestrian was taken to hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries. The driver remained at the scene to assist with officers enquiries.”
The A58 Moss Bank Way was closed in both directions, then in one direction, while the emergency services were in attendance. There was traffic between Blackburn Road and Halliwell Road, but the closure was lifted within around two hours.
