A traffic signal failure is causing delays on a major road in Farnworth.
Engineers are attending Bolton Road in Farnworth with Long Causeway, Higher Market Street and Old Hall Street.
All traffic signals are currently out here.
Drivers are warned to approach with caution as Travel For Greater Manchester put out an alert on social media.
Drivers are being forced to navigate the busy junction without the use of the lights.
Given the importance of the junction of Blackburn Road to the town’s transport links, problems are likely to have knock on effects on roads further afield.
As yet, Transport for Greater Manchester have not released further details on what caused the outage.
TfGM advised for road users to follow its social media accounts for further updates.
This marks the latest in a long running series of outages to have hit the area in recent times.
Earlier this month, the light signals went down in Bolton Town Centre.
The lights at the function of Trinity Street and Black Horse Street were not working on February 6.
