A pedestrian was taken to hospital after an incident in Astley Bridge.
The emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to the A58 Moss Bank Way at 3.12pm on Monday.
According to North West Ambulance Service, a pedestrian was hit by a car at around the junction with Broad O' Th' Lane.
And although the air ambulance was in attendance, the pedestrian was taken to hospital with a head injury by road.

A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: "We responded to reports of a car hitting a pedestrian at 3.12pm.
"The patient was taken to hospital with a head injury by road. An air ambulance also attended."
The A58 Moss Bank Way was closed in both directions, then in one direction, while the emergency services were in attendance. There was traffic between Blackburn Road and Halliwell Road, but the closure was lifted within around two hours.
The Bolton News asked Greater Manchester Police for a comment.
