Nine motor vehicle students downed tools last week to visiting a fellow Bolton College apprentice in the workplace.

Olivia Preston is an apprentice motor vehicle technician at RRG’s Lexus Bolton Centre.

Students took a tour of the high-spec workshop and showroom and Olivia, 18, chatted to the students about her role.

She said: “I’m very happy and content at the RRG Group, I couldn’t wish to start my career with a better company.”

“I’m working with a very experienced team, and I have a mentor who’s helping me throughout the Apprenticeship.”

“RRG group are passionate about supporting staff to progress in their careers; eventually, I want to be a master technician, and there are strategies in place to help me to achieve this.”

The Bolton News:

“I’d 100 per cent recommend an apprenticeship – it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done.”

Stephen Perry, Group Recruitment Specialist for the RRG Group, also chatted to the students.

He said: “There are multiple Apprenticeship opportunities at the RRG Group beyond the workshop, so I enjoyed enlightening the students on the possible career paths they could pursue.”
