Road resurfacing works lasting a week are set to take place in Horwich and could restrict access for residents.
The work is due to start on Thursday, March 2, on Catherine Street East in Horwich.
“The works are due to start March 2, the resurfacing works will take approximately one week to complete, weather permitting,” a letter to residents stated.
Lane closures will be in place while the works are being undertaken.
“Access to properties will be maintained, however there will be times during the works when access will be restricted,” the letter adds.
“During the works, can residents keep the road clear of vehicles during the working day to enable to the works to be undertaken. The contractor undertaking the works will advise residents nearer the time.”

The council has asked residents whose waste or recycling bins during the time of the works to place them at the “nearest accessible point if vehicle access is prohibited e.g. at the start or end of the road works”.
The letter added: “The Council would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused to local residents and road users, but every effort will be made to keep this to a minimum. Your patience would be appreciated at this time.”
