Food hygiene inspectors have rated 19 eateries in Bolton in the latest round of inspections.

Examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and management of food safety, inspectors have rated eight eateries a five out of five, five eateries a four out of five rating, three eateries a three out of five rating and three eateries a one out of five rating.

Jo’s Grill Ltd at 68 Bridge Street, and The Chinese Buffet at 32 Bridge Street, were both rated a five on February 14.

The inspection reports for both eateries state they are ‘good’ in all areas.

Tapaz at 33 Bradshawgate, Bolton; was also rated a five on February 10.

The inspection report states the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are both ‘very good’ whilst the management of food safety is ‘good’.

The Albert Bar and Cafe at The Albert Halls Town Hall, Victoria Square, was rated a five on February 10.

The Spinning Mule at Nelson Square was also awarded a five after inspection on February 10.

The eatery is rated ‘very good’ for hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and ‘good’ for management of food safety.

Jarern Street Food at 66 Bridge Street and LA Pizza at 320 Crompton Way were also rated a five on February 14 and both were rated ‘good’ in all areas.

The Chip Shop at 324 Crompton Way, was also recently rated a five after inspection on February 14.

Five eateries have been handed a four out of five food hygiene ratings after recent inspections.

Krazy Carting Ltd, at Unit 2, Raglan Street, Bolton was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 12.

The inspection report states both the hygienic food handling, and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are both ‘good’ whilst the management of food safety is ‘generally satisfactory’.

Powerleague Bolton Community Club at Long Lane was rated a four after inspection on January 14.

The inspection report states the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety are both ‘good’ whilst the hygienic food handling is ‘generally satisfactory’.

M T Bellys at 299 Blackburn Road, Bolton was rated a four on January 13.

The eatery was rated ‘very good’ for the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety are both ‘generally satisfactory’.

Gilnow Arms at 258 Deane Road, Bolton was given the score of four after assessment on January 16, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

The inspection report states the hygienic food handling, and the management of food safety are both ‘good’ whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building is ‘generally satisfactory’.

VS Liquid Lounge, at 92 Winter Hey Lane, Horwich, was the final eatery to be handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 17.

The inspection report states the hygienic food handling is ‘very good’ whilst the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and the management of food safety are both ‘generally satisfactory’.

Three eateries have also been handed three out of five hygiene ratings in the recent round of inspections.

Odessa Cafe, at Bridgeman Buildings, Exchange Street, Bolton and Dalchini at Bradshaw Road, Bolton was rated a three after inspection on January 12 and 14.

The eatery was rated ‘generally satisfactory’ in all areas.

The final eatery to be handed a three out of five rating was So Famous at The Victory, 151 Chorley Old Road, which was handed the rating after inspection on January 14.

Finally, three eateries have been handed one out of five hygiene ratings.

Town Cafe at 9 Deansgate, Bolton; rated on January 15, Chicago's Pizza at 119 Tonge Moor Road, Bolton; rated on January 13 and Taste of China, a takeaway at 523 Wigan Road, Bolton was given a score of one on January 17.

Town Café’s inspection report states both the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are ‘good’ whilst ‘major improvement is necessary’ for the management of food safety.

Chicago’s Pizza’s inspection report states the management of food safety is ‘generally satisfactory’, ‘major improvement is necessary’ for the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and ‘improvement is necessary’ for the hygienic food handling.

The inspection report for the Taste of China states ‘improvement is necessary’ for the hygienic food handling and the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building whilst ‘major improvement is necessary’ for the management of food safety.
