Police raided a property to discover more than 150 cannabis plants in a property in Halliwell.

Officers carried out a warrant on the house in Halliwell Road yesterday.

Neighbourhood officers from GMP Bolton South say they found between 150 and 200 plants across three floors of the property and released an image of the find.

The picture shows dozens of plants in pots lined up next to each other with lighting above it.

A spokesperson for the neighbourhood team said: "Officers from the Halliwell neighbourhood policing team executed a drugs warrant on Halliwell Road yesterday.

"Approximately 150-200 plants were found across three floors."

The raid is the latest in a series of drugs bust, which have uncovered a number of cannabis farms, in town centre buildings and residential properties.

Officers raided a derelict business on Bath Street last month and found around 110 plants.

Before this farms were uncovered at the former Late Club and Bar Ice in Bank Street.

In 2021 two huge grows were found at an old bank and former BMW Williams premises in the town centre.
