Police are appealing after a serious collision in Wigan leaves a teenager with life-threatening injuries.
On Thursday, 16 February 2023, at around 2.50pm, officers were called to a serious collision involving one car on Winstanley Road in Wigan.

It is believed a red Ford Fiesta was travelling in south along Winstanley Road when it lost control and collided with a tree.
Emergency services attended the scene and a 17-year-old boy, and 16-year-old girl were taken to hospital, the boy having sustained life-threatening injuries.

GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident or the vehicle in question prior to the collision, to get in touch.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may dashcam, mobile phone or CCTV/doorbell footage from the area in the moments leading up to and before the collision took place.
