A Bolton café has been ‘overwhelmed’ by donations after offering free kids meals.
Lenny’s Café in Little Lever announced earlier this month it will offering free meals in the February half term to children from struggling families.
The meals include chicken nuggets, fish fingers, burgers, sausages, omelettes and breakfast toasties.
A spokesman for the café said: “During the February half term, Monday 20th February to Friday 24th February, we will have a variety of children’s meals available all free, to those struggling with rising costs or those who are on low income.
“Please don’t be afraid to pop in, we are doing this to help.”
The post was met with praise from customers, who also asked if they could donate to the worthy cause, prompting the café to start a Pay It Forward chain.
This means people can pay for a coffee or a meal and add it to their bill for someone else to enjoy it when they need it.

A spokesman said: “We have had a huge response after our post regarding the free kids meals, that we are running during the half term.
“The post had a lot of good reaction and I’ve had many people asking as to whether or not they can donate to help cover costs.
“As much as that wasn’t the reason why we did it, if anyone would like to make any donation that’s absolutely fine. “
