A teenager has been arrested after a 19-year-old man was stabbed in Whitehead Park on Ainsworth Road on Sunday.
An 18-year-old man is in custody after being arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding, after a 19-year-old was found with a stab injury to the left side of his chest.

It is believed he was approached by three men in the park, who he did not know, and a "physical altercation" ensued.
Police say that it was a targeted attack but are certain it was an isolated incident, and the wider community are not at risk.

A spokesperson for GMP Bury North said: “An 18-year-old man is in custody after being arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding after police were called to reports of a 19-year-old man being stabbed in Whitehead Park, Bury, on Sunday.
“Anyone with information should call police on 0161 856 8078 quoting 3282-12/2/23.”
