Former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has called on women to stop the hate after she suffered cruel remarks which attacked her as mother and a person after she shared a fashion reel on her social media account.

Helen, from Bolton, called out the haters by posting the remarks made by cruel trolls on a stunning picture of her wearing a glamorous low cut red dress.

The 32-year-old revealed that the internet trolls branded her 'tacky and unclassy' - with some saying she was not a good role model to her daughters.

One took to social media to say: "Would you let your daughters out dressed like that".

While another added: "Talk of the school playground ha".

Helen said she was 'taken aback' not just by the comment but because the majority of them were from women.

Now the actress, who has more than one million followers on Instragram has hit back - and called on women to support each other.

Helen said: So I shared a fashion reel a few days ago and I was a bit taken back from the not so nice comments I got on the post.

"I was more shocked that the majority of them were from women.

"I'm a girl's girl and very much for other women and I always have another woman's back.

"I don't believe women should comment negatively about other women.

"I enjoy seeing women feeling glamorous and feeling empowered and dressing how they want to dress.

"Sometimes I see outfits that I wouldn't wear as maybe they are too revealing for me but I just think good on the girl that had the confidence to wear what she wants to wear.

"I had some comment from other women about being tacky or unclassy well to me being woman and speaking so badly of another woman's appearance is 'tacky and unclassy' .

"I never speak badly about how another women looks as it is just vile."

She adds: "I had comments about being a good role model to my daughters.

"I will bring up my daughters to be kinds, beautiful women the support other women with god morals and girls code.

"Or you can just scroll past... on social media you don't like something you don't have to comment.

"I love my account I feel I really connect with other women and mothers and yeah basically I support other women, I don't drag them down.

"As women we need each other."

Last month she spoke about her boob job and the reason she wanted the surgery.
