A PUB landlord, who has run a number different venues around Bolton, was delighted to hear that his latest venture has earned a place in the top six of the Pub of the Year.
Steve Hoyle, who has been in charge of the Hardy Hall in Little Lever, The Life Bar, Downtown and the Northern Way, is enjoying his time at Hogarths.
He started there in January 2022 and the company Amber Tavern decided ‘it was in need of a sparkle changing the interior and exterior bringing a nice feeling about the pub again introducing new artistes and custom to a welcoming pub’.
Steve added that he feels that Hogarths is a ‘great pub with so much to offer’.
“It feels absolutely fantastic feeling great to have such welcoming customers and friends and being nominated for the top six finalists.
“I would like to thank everybody for their continued support and great friendship we have created.
“It is a community feeling pub with a whole range of ages in the hospitality sector. We want to invite everyone young or old to sample the many gins, cocktails and spirits we have to offer sitting in the comfort of your own VIP booth or Karaoke booth enjoying your evening in style.
“Not forgetting showing all the sporting events on a massive big screen and surrounded by big TVs in every corner of the pub and beer garden. We host race days, disco and karaoke live performances from solo and bands., choosing some of the many artistes from up and down the country.
“We cater for everything; all you have to do is ask.
“We have highly trained staff who meet the needs of everybody. Each and every member is trained to a high standard doing CPL courses tranging from age verification, health and safety, good customer service and cocktail training and many more.”
Steve admits their most popular drinks come from host lagers such as Madri, Fosters, 1664, Amstel, Carling, Coors and many more beers with traditional ales to saviour as well such as Flat Cap, Taylor’s Landlord and many more.
“We also have an extensive cocktail menu.”
Steve admits that they are trying to create ‘the perfect atmosphere to enjoy your day or night out’ and talked about the best thing about running the pub.
He said: “The welcoming of old & new customers making new friends in the industry. I am very proud of the team we have behind us welcoming all ages with there hospitality and service.
“To win the pub of the year would be a dream come true a welcoming gift to show we are a good team and always endeavour to satisfy all needs in the hospitality industry. “
