Manchester Airport’s Runway Visitor Park (RVP) has revealed additional dates for its Flight Academy programme that’s taking place during February half term.
Popular demand has meant that sessions have now been added for Saturday, February 18 and Thursday, February 23.
A limited number of spaces remain available for sessions on Wednesday 22 and Friday 24, February.
The programme gives children aged 4-12 the chance to learn about different job roles that help keep Manchester Airport in operation from positions such as check-in agents to flight crew and the airfield team.
The sessions last 90 minutes and during that time, children will also be given the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of a retired airliner and get an insight into what it would be like to fly a commercial aircraft.
They’ll also head outside to take a look at the runways at Manchester Airport where they’ll see planes taking off and landing as well as see some of the jobs they’ve learnt about in action.
