A newly opened café which is located inside one of Bolton's grandest buildings has received a five-out-of-five good hygiene rating from the Food Standards Agency.
The Albert Bar and Café was handed the new hygiene rating after inspection on February 10.
The venue in the historic Albert Halls successfully launched in November last year with residents across the borough flocking for hot and cold drinks, including alcohol and its success led o introduction of a food menu at the start of this year.
Visitors to Bolton town centre can now enjoy delicious food and snacks at The Albert Halls cultural hotspot which has been at the heart of the Bolton’s for over 100 years, hosting a variety of concerts, shows and civic events.

Bolton Council’s Deputy Leader, Cllr Hilary Fairclough, said: “We have had some great feedback since re-opening the Albert Bar, with visitors enjoying the historic setting and convenient central location.
“The five-star rating personifies the quality of the venue and the commitment of our amazing staff to provide an excellent all-round experience for everyone.
“I am sure The Albert Bar’s new menu will bring even more visitors to the town centre to experience everything Bolton’s Albert Halls venue has to offer.”
The scheme behind the food hygiene inspections was introduced in 2010 which provides businesses with a rating based off hygiene standards on their premises.
They are given a rating from between zero and five, with their rating being displayed on their website and premises.
A rating of five is currently the highest ranking achievable and specifies that hygiene standards are very good.
Albert Bar and Café is open between 10am and 4pm Wednesday to Saturday.
While enjoying food and drink, there is also the opportunity to browse upcoming events at the Albert Halls, buy tickets at the also recently opened box office, and take in the surroundings of the beautiful, historic building.
Ticketholders can also claim an exclusive discount of 10 percent on hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks before showings.
