Royal Bolton Hospital is urging patients not to attend its emergency department, following a power outage.
In a statement posted on the Bolton NHS Foundation Trust website, it told patients that engineers were on site to fix the issue which has affected some areas of the hospital, including its A&E Department.
A spokesperson for the hospital also warned patients on on social media, writing: “PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND OUR EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT.”
The statement said that anyone requiring urgent or emergency care will be temporarily redirected and urged anyone in need of help to contact emergency care as they normally would.
