A man from Bolton has been charged with assault, and controlling and coercive behaviour.
After being charged, Joseph Sherrif, of Tarleton Place, was remanded in custody and appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Wednesday, February 8.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: “Joseph Sherrif (15/01/1996) of Tarleton Place in Bolton was charged with the following offences:
“Controlling and coercive behaviour.
“Assault by beating.
“Joseph Sherrif was remanded in custody and appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.”
The GMP spokesperson added: “Call the UK police non-emergency number, 101, if you need support or advice from the police and it's not an emergency.
