Police were called to a pub in Farnworth after a man was seen on the scaffolding on the roof earlier this afternoon (Tuesday, 7 February).
An eyewitness said that a man was seen on the roof of The Freemasons pub on Market Street in Farnworth with a large police presence at the scene.

Police were called to the incident at 4.30pm as there was a concern for the man’s welfare.
He was guided down to safety by officers.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “We were called at approximately 4.30pm with regards to the welfare of a man, who was on scaffolding at a pub on Market Street in Bolton.
“He was guided down to safety.”
