Although the cause of this crash is not known, the number of accidents on the road has prompted calls for a speed camera.
Ward councillor Hamid Khurram wants speed cameras to be installed on the road
He said this back up the need for them.
He said: “Residents on Bradford Road are getting worried about speeding.
“This road is getting too dangerous.
“We do need a speed camera on this road.”
The councillor said he was previously told when he made a request for a camera on the street that there were more than 300 other streets in the Greater Manchester area which were ahead of it in the list to obtain a device.
He also said the road linked into other roads in Farnworth which were problematic for speeding including Campbell Street and Harper Green Road.
